Product Description Used in hospitals and ideal for home care, TIDI’s soft foam Posey Heel Guards help protect the lower leg and foot to prevent skin breakdown. This heel guard functions as a high resilience foam heel off-loading device that floats the heel and helps reduce the risk of foot drop. Its open heel cutout allows the heel to be suspended to help reduce the risk of skin irritation and pressure injuries. Designed with comfort in mind, heel and side ventilation holes promote air circulation to dissipate heat buildup whereas the outer lining helps minimize the risk of friction and shear. An adjustable foam elevation block helps optimize individual positioning and heel lift, and the boot’s adjustable straps allow easy adjustment for degree of foot drop control. Each foam pressure-reducing heel protector measures 12" long x 7.5" tall (30 cm x 19 cm), a size that fits all, and is made without using latex.
